It hasn't been a bad year in Boston sports, but it also hasn't been one where all of the home teams have dominated. The Patriots lost a heartbreaker in the Super Bowl, the Celtics and Bruins bowed out early in the playoffs, and the Red Sox are, well, a mess. A few tweaks, some minor and some major, and the landscape could be vastly different. What if the Red Sox had hired Gene Lamont (bottom right)? What if Wes Welker had made that catch? We go through some "what if's" from both the recent past and the near future.
