Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has been recruited as the centerpiece of a marketing campaign to promote Eastern Bank’s charitable giving program, which focuses on many Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Eastern Massachusetts, the bank said today.
Gonzalez posters and murals will grace the walls at the bank’s 95 offices, and he will also be prominently featured on the bank’s homepage as well as on a special website for the bank’s charitable program.
Explaining some of Gonzalez’s role, a bank press release said, “Every time Gonzalez hits a home run this season, he, along with his wife Betsy, and Eastern Bank donate $1,000 total to select Habitat for Humanity affiliates serving eastern Massachusetts.”
As of today, Gonzalez has hit 16 homers, the bank noted.
Based in Boston, Eastern Bank has $7.6 billion in assets, and its primary footprint stretches from the Merrimack Valley to Cape Cod.
