HubSpot, a Cambridge marketing software company, said it has bought a marketing automation company called Performable for an undisclosed amount.
Performable’s technology will “enhance businesses ability to turn more visitors into leads and customers,” HubSpot said in a press release.
Perfomable is also based in Cambridge, and its 18-person team will join HubSpot at the HubSpot headquarters, a move that will increase HubSpot’s head count to about 260 employees, HubSpot said. Performable chief executive David Cancel will become HubSpot’s chief product officer, HubSpot said.
Earlier this year, HubSpot received a $32 million Series D financing round led by Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, and Salesforce.com.
