New PTC website promotes Creo brand
A new micro website from Parametric Technology Corp. looks to buff up its Creo brand of design software by inviting the computer-aided design community to take the “Creo pledge.”
Headquartered in Needham, Parametric Technology likes to refer to itself as PTC. One of its specialties is making software for product lifecycle management that is used by computer-aided design engineers and by manufacturing companies.
One of the company’s products is Creo, and PTC has been working with Mechanica, a marketing strategy firm in Newburyport, to devise the new Creo website. One of the website’s goals: To get Creo’s potential customer base excited about the product by urging them to sign the Creo pledge, which is featured prominently on the site.
The pledge reads in part, “By giving people the freedom to choose the tools that work best for them, and to work as productively as possible, Creo unlocks potential.”
Signing a pledge to a piece of software might seem geeky to some, but PTC feels that “Creo isn’t just a new technology or idea,” a Mechanica press release notes; for PTC, Creo is a “philosophy.”
