Little Sprouts, a Lawrence-based chain of child care and child enrichment centers, will be honored as the “Small Business of the Year,” the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce said today.
The chamber’s Small Business of the Year Awards recognize the achievements of small and growing for-profit companies with gross revenues of more than $1 million. In selecting winners, the chamber examines such factors as financial performance, product innovation, and social responsibility.
Other small businesses that will be honored this year include Baystate Financial Services, Charles River Apparel, Get in Shape for Women, and IdeaPaint, the chamber said.
An awards luncheon is planned for mid October at the Colonnade Hotel.
