Rosa Mexicano and its upscale Mexican food are coming to the S. Boston waterfront
Rosa Mexicano, a high-end Mexican restaurant, has signed a 15-year lease to open a location at Seaport West on the South Boston waterfront, Seaport West’s owner said.
The owner is Pembroke Real Estate, whose Seaport Place is home to about 5,000 office workers. When Rosa Mexicano opens next year in roughly 8,000 square feet of space on the corner of Seaport Boulevard and B Street, it will join several other restaurants at Seaport Place, including Morton’s the Steakhouse, Aura, and Tamo.
According to Pembroke, Rosa Mexicano has 13 locations across the country, and the Boston location will include an outdoor patio overlooking Boston Harbor and the Financial District.
Colliers International’s Retail Services group represented Pembroke Real Estate in the lease transaction.
Developed by Pembroke, Seaport West opened in 2002 and it is part of Seaport Place, which also includes Seaport East, the Seaport Hotel, Seaport World Trade Center, retail shops, and two parks.
Pembroke is the commercial real estate arm of Fidelity Investments, the Boston mutual funds giant.
