Drug ring allegedly used Jamaica Plain market as front
Boston police said they arrested four people Tuesday who allegedly used a market in Jamaica Plain as a front for selling drugs. Jeancarlo Rodriguez, 30, of Jamaica Plain and Ansony Lapaix, 22, of Dorchester, were arrested on charges of trafficking Class A and possession with intent to distribute Class A within 1,000’ of a school zone, said police.
Authorities said they seized more than one plastic bag of heroin, more than 45 grams of Oxycodone pills, and more than $10,000 cash while executing a search warrant at the D&R Supermarket’s 180 Hyde Park Ave. address, police said.
Dilency Liberato, 25, of Mattapan and Noelia Melendez, 25, of Dorchester, were also arrested for knowingly being in the company of a person in possession of heroin, said authorities.
All four suspects are expected back in court on March 23.
