After days of national controversy surrounding Susan G. Komen Foundation’s temporary decision to stop giving money to Planned Parenthood, the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts hosted an event Tuesday night at the Mandarin Oriental to honor Governor Deval Patrick and his wife, Diane Patrick, for their committment to women’s health. Guests included Ronni Cohen-Boyar, executive director of the Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, who was there as the guest of local Planned Parenthood League president Dianne Luby.
