INDIANAPOLIS - There was no rest for revelers this weekend, as the Super Bowl bingeing continued right up to kickoff. Even after a full slate of soirees Friday and Saturday, partygoers were back at it yesterday, getting their pre-game groove on at boozy tailgate bashes. But what was fun for some was work for others, including guitarist Dave Navarro, whose normally nocturnal band, Jane’s Addiction, performed a short set during the day at Rolling Stone magazine’s tailgate extravaganza, held in a restored industrial building a few blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium. “I’m not a football guy. I just don’t care,” Navarro told us. “I’m contemplating playing the gig and then flying out before the game even starts.”

Navarro was among a slew of celebrities who attended Rolling Stone’s Super Bowl party the night before. Taking the stage at the former warehouse known as Crane Bay were LMFAO, Lupe Fiasco, Cobra Starship, and Gym Class Heroes, who told us they didn’t have any clean underwear so they went to Target to get some earlier in the day. (We can’t wait to see the “Behind the Music” on those guys.) We missed Cobra Starship’s set, but according to lead singer Gabe Saporta, they killed. “We were great,” said Saporta. “I think there were, like, four or five girls who spontaneously got pregnant while we were playing.”

Actor Joe Manganiello, who plays a werewolf on HBO’s “True Blood,” was ubiquitous over the weekend, turning up at the Rolling Stone party, the Maxim party, the DirecTV party, and the GQ party. (And that’s only counting parties we were at, too.) Manganiello is a Pittsburgh native and, boy, does he hate the Patriots. “All of Steeler nation will never forgive the Patriots for cheating against us,” said Manganiello. “They filmed our walk-through before the AFC championship game in Ben (Roethlisberger’s) rookie season when we were 15-1 and unstoppable. We will never forgive them.” “Extra” co-host Maria Menounos walked gingerly down the red carpet at the Rolling Stone party, having hurt herself earlier in the day in DirecTV’s annual “Celebrity Beach Bowl.” “My tail bone landed full throttle on Neil Patrick Harris’s knee. I kind of blacked out for a minute, and was in so much pain. Snoop (Dogg) carried me off the field,” she said. “It hurts now that the Bloody Mary, ibuprofen, and ice have worn off.”

Others in the house included Sudbury actor Chris Evans and “The Town”’s Jon Hamm, who we spied hanging with “30 Rock” actor Jack McBrayer and Will Forte of “SNL.” Alyssa Milano, wearing a Giants shirt from her own clothing line, and chatting with Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers, “House Bunny” actress Anna Faris, whose date was her dad, “Gossip Girl” stars Chace Crawford and Jessica Szohr, Lance Bass, ESPN’s Erin Andrews, “Glee” star Matthew Morrison, “American Idol” Paul McDonald and his wife, “Twilight” actress Nikki Reed, “Revenge” actor Josh Bowen, and former Giant Carl Banks, who told us he’s a Bill Belichick fan – when he’s not playing the Giants.

Meanwhile, at the Maxim party, which was held outside of town at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, the crowd included Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis, former Miss USA (and Methuen native) Susie Castillo, “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd, former Giant Amani Toomer, who called Pats QB Tom Brady a “pretty boy,” Food Network host Guy Fieri, rapper Ludacris, and actor Brian Baumgartner, who plays Kevin on “The Office.” “Sorry, Giants are gonna win by three – 27-24,” said Baumgartner.

There were yet more celebs at Saturday’s DirecTV bash, including newly single Katy Perry, actress Jane Krakowksi, Neil Patrick Harris, Tom Cruise’s son, Connor, who did a DJ set, David Arquette, Mark Cuban, and designer Kenneth Cole.

Also on Saturday, the Kraft family (Bob, Jonathan, Josh, David, and Danny) hosted a party for about 200 friends at Indy’s Conrad Hotel. Guests included locals such as Raytheon chairman William Swanson and Intercontinental chief Peter Palandjian, who brought his son Petros; former Pats personalities Tedy Bruschi, Adam Vinatieri, and Ty Law; and comedian Dennis Miller, who performed for the bunch. (Elsewhere around Indy we saw developer Arthur Winn, State Room owner Jim Apteker, chef Todd English, and Davio’s owner Steve DeFillippo.)

At the stadium yesterday, we ran into former Bank of America bigwig Chad Gifford, Sox manager Bobby Valentine, Tom Brady’s Newbury Street stylist Pini Swissa, and TB12’s dad Tom Brady Sr. chatting with former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue in an elevator headed, aptly enough, to the stadium’s Quarterback Club.

Friday’s hoedowns included Playboy’s annual bash, ESPN the Magazine’s party, Audi’s exclusive affair, and GQ’s joint, whose adorable servers all wore matching Izod shirts. (Lacoste was one of the sponsors.) Playboy promised Playmates and a slew of celebs, but only partially delivered. The Bunnies made the scene, but Joe Jonas was a no-show and Hamm breezed in the back to avoid the pesky reporters working the red carpet. With few exceptions, guests said they were rooting for the Giants. One of the exceptions was Playmate Stacy Fuson – Miss February 1999, if you have Google handy – who said she’s friends with former Patriot Lawyer Milloy, and met Tom Brady several years ago. Fuson took issue with Madonna’s comment earlier in the week that she would hang out with Giants QB Eli Manning over Brady. “They’re both married, so that’s my first thought,” said Fuson. St. Louis Rams receiver Brandon Lloyd and running back Stephen Jackson were there, but both seemed a little distracted. “It’s hard to talk about sports when you got bunny ears behind you,” said Jackson. Lloyd, who’s a free agent, was asked if he’d like to reunite in New England with Josh McDaniels, his former coach who’s credited with turning the pass catcher’s career around in Denver and St. Louis. “I’d like to continue to consider myself Josh’s prized pupil, but right now I’m a member of the St. Louis Rams,” said Lloyd. (We’ll take that as a yes.)

Texans running back Arian Foster credited his wife for his unique wardrobe choices, which included a Kelly green sweater, plaid scarf, jeans, and a pair of gray leather Louis Vuitton loafers. TV host Billy Bush and his buddy, former “Party of Five” actor Scott Wolf, were all about the Giants. The pair rented a RV for the week, parking it right outside Lucas Oil Stadium. “We have beer and Bloody Marys. We didn’t want to over think it,” said Bush. “There’s some food in case anyone gets lightheaded.” As for the game, Bush sneered at the Patriots’ chances, predicting the Giants would “fleece” Belichick’s team. “This one’s gonna sting,” added Wolf. “This one’s gonna burn you guys.” GQ publisher Chris Mitchell also hosted a party at the Stutz, a renovated warehouse. We arrived too late to see LL Cool J, but the DJ set by Questlove of the Roots had the crowd hopping. (Or maybe it was the free-flowing Patron.)

Guests included NFL types: Troy Aikman, Kurt Warner, and Patriot Niko Koutouvides; ESPN’s Andrews, model Brooklyn Decker and her husband, tennis player Andy Roddick; and Giants owner Steve Tisch. Andrews also showed up at Audi’s bash in the penthouse of the Conrad Hotel, where Alec Baldwin, among many other bigshots, was staying. The crowd included Kellan Lutz, and Spike Lee. And at ESPN the Magazine’s party, we spied Drake, Shaquille O’Neal, Jerry Rice, Vivica A. Fox, Tim Tebow, Terrell Owens, Hope Solo, and Jets receiver Plaxico Burress, the former Giants receiver who helped beat the Patriots in the 2007 Super Bowl but watched yesterday’s game on TV. As excited as Indy was to host the Super Bowl, something tells us the residents will be happy when the circus leaves town this morning.
