Pint and the Pen writing contest

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given its name, Bukowski's has always been both a good place to drink beer - and a good place to belly-up to the bar with a book. It's also showed a commitment to writing over the years with its annual Pint and the Pen writing contest. This year every 500- to 750-word entry had to include the words "pint" "pen" "Bukowski" and "Harpoon" (the local beer is a sponsor).
