Wrestling with words

Email|Print| Text size + By Luke O'Neil
Globe Correspondent / January 22, 2008

We don't think there are many writers that could beat us up. But just to be safe, we're gonna have to remember to be nice to John Irving, member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. The author of such beloved classics as "The World According to Garp," "A Prayer for Owen Meany," and "The Cider House Rules" (for which he won an Oscar for best screenplay) is reading tonight from unpublished material that will probably be part of a forthcoming book. If you're lucky, maybe he'll put somebody in a headlock. 6:30 p.m. Free. Keiter Performing Arts Center, Perrin Theater,

12 Highland St., Natick.
