June 3, 2008

Two popular authors team up tonight for readings at the Waltham Public Library. Jon Papernick will talk about his religious-thriller "Who by Fire, Who by Blood" and his new collection of short stories "There Is No Other." He'll be joined by Jennifer Haigh, who wrote "Baker Towers," a post-WWII story about a family in Pennsylvania. The library's book club recently read "Towers," so we're sure they'll be there with plenty of questions. 7 p.m. Free. Reservations recommended. Waltham Public Library Children's Room, 735 Main St., Waltham. 781-314-3425. waltham.lib.ma.us
