Facing the nation

Email|Print|Single Page| Text size + By Nick A. Zaino III
Globe Correspondent / June 16, 2008

To get an idea of the span of Red Sox Nation, author David Laurila talked to some of its more prominent citizens - current players such as Jonathan Papelbon and Curt Schilling, legends like Johnny Pesky, and the Globe's own Bob Ryan. But he also found less likely subjects: official scorer Chaz Scoggins, prospect Ryan Kalish, and 80-year-old season ticket holder Anne Quinn. He'll read from the resulting book, "Interviews From Red Sox Nation," today at 1 p.m. at Borders, a quick lunchtime Red Sox break. Free. Borders, 10-24 School St. 617-557-7188. borders.com
