Erica Ferencik gives a talk at the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library tonight for all you aspiring novelists and bloggers. During "Is Self-Publishing Right for You," Ferencik, author of "Cracks in the Foundation," will talk about what it means to self-publish, why it's easier to sell nonfiction, and how much money you can expect to make if you self-publish. She's a comic novelist, so we're expecting the talk to be amusing, as well as educational. 6:30 p.m. Free. Jamaica Plain Branch, 12 Sedgwick St., Jamaica Plain. 617-542-2053. www.bpl.org
