After a tragedy, a professor wanders into a new life
After the tragic deaths of his beloved wife and troubled son in an automobile accident, 55-year-old professor Henry Dorn quits his job at a women's college, closes up his Elmira, N.Y., home, packs his bags, and sails for the Netherlands, ostensibly to investigate his family history, a trip he calls "foolhardy" although we're not sure why.
