But at “To Know the Whole World: Women’s Travel Writings From the Schlesinger Library, 1819-1972,’’ visitors can travel to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America, and the United States by reading travel diaries and letters. The material, originally written for family, friends, and the women themselves, chronicles trips by foot, ship, covered wagon, car, and plane. Mon-Fri, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. through Feb. 26. Free.
