In May 1988, 18-year-old Darin Strauss was driving with friends near his home on Long Island when a bicyclist veered into his car’s path. The collision killed a schoolmate of his named Celine Zilke , leaving Strauss haunted by an accident for which he was legally absolved. (Full article: 525 words)
