A billion books at your fingertips

Posted by Jan Gardner September 8, 2006 06:06 PM

Now you can search the catalogs of 10,000 libraries around the world at www.worldcat.org.

WorldCat used to be available only in libraries. It includes Harvard, the New York Public, Columbia, and Yale libraries.

The search results are broken down in a number of ways, including year of publication and the distance (in miles) between you and the book of your dreams. Now if libraries would mail you the books you want, the service would be complete.
