Oprah's choice
Oprah Winfrey's next selection for Oprah's Book Club will be announced Friday on the show. Word is that it will be a departure from recent selections. There was only one title last year -- Elie Wiesel's "Night" -- and James Frey's discredited "A Million Little Pieces" the year before, along with three William Faulkner novels.
Perhaps this one will be a foreign writer, like Elif Shafak or Orhan Pamuk. Or a children's book? One thing is sure: Oprah will do as she pleases.
