Building a better encyclopedia

Scholarpedia, which bills itself as a peer-reviewed encyclopedia written by scholars all over the world, aims to be a higher-class Wikipedia.

It's great to see standards being applied to the Web-based anarchy that makes Wikipedia so unreliable, but it will be a while before the site is fleshed out beyond computational neuroscience and other such weighty topics.
