Cold and hot

Posted by David Mehegan February 16, 2007 05:12 PM

Well, that didn't take long. The New York Times reports that two books about Anna Nicole Smith have already been announced: a reprint of her biography, "Great Big Beautiful Doll," orignally published in 1996, and a sure-to-be-less-generous book called "Train Wreck: Anna Nicole Unauthorized," by Donna Hogan, Smith's half-sister, due in April from Phoenix Books.

Barricade Books is bringing out the biography. Publisher Carol Stuart told the Times that plans had been in the works before Smith's death, "then of course last week she dies. ... We didn't kill her or anything." No, but they did move up the pub date and increase the printing by 15,000 copies.

Nothing wrong with that, of course. The way things are going, as she gets colder, she only gets hotter.
