Somerville poet Afaa Michael Weaver is back from a teaching gig in Taiwan. In an interview with a reporter from the Taipei Times, he talks about race in America and the healing power of tai chi.

Weaver, a professor at Simmons College, is a "Bagel Bard" member and the founder of the Chinese Poetry Conference in Boston. Poetry magazine published his "American Income'' in its March issue.
