When Ben Dolnick does a reading of his debut novel "Zoology'' at the Brookline Booksmith next Monday, he'll be introduced by his favorite uncle, Arthur Golden, whose "Memoirs of a Geisha'' was a huge success 10 years ago.

At least a couple of reviewers of "Zoology'' view Dolnick as a promising writer and express an interest in what he will do next. I feel the same way about Golden. I greatly enjoyed "Memoirs'' and am eager to see what's next.
