Ce-le-bration time, come on!
Rest up tonight because tomorrow is a big day: April 26 is World Intellectual Property Day, promoted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, and supported by various groups including the Association of American Publishers. According to the AAP, book publishers in the United States lost more than $500 million last year to wholesale photocopying and other forms of piracy.
It's not clear what we're supposed to do about this, except promise not to buy pirated editions of any book. OK, we promise.
