Bookstore pays the "ransom"

Just the other day a shipment of two obscure anthropology books from Amazon.com was stolen from the lobby of an apartment building, so who did the intendent recipient call? Local bookstores who buy used books, including Harvard Book Store.

Two hours later a middle-aged man came into the shop to sell the books. The store paid the price, turned the books over to their rightful owner -- and called the cops.
