Providence celebrates H.P. Lovecraft

Providence native and master of horror fiction H.P. Lovecraft will be the focus of a literary walk sponsored by the Rhode Island Historical Society. To celebrate Lovecraft’s birth on Aug. 20, 1890, the society is sponsoring a 90-minute walking tour at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Cost is $12. Meet at the John Brown Museum, 52 Power St., Providence.
