In the midst of the national financial turmoil, these were the top selling personal finance books at Barnes & Noble stores throughout New England Sept. 14-20:

1. "Debt Cures 'They' Don't Want You to Know About," by Kevin Trudeau (Vanguard Press/Perseus, hardcover)
2. "Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids about Money -- That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!" by Robert T. Kiyosaki (Grand Central, paperback)
3. "The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness," by Dave Ramsey (Thomas Nelson, hardcover)
4. "What Color Is Your Parachute? For Retirement: Planning Now for the Life You Want," by Richard N. Bolles and John E. Nelson (Ten Speed, paperback)
5. "Women & Money: Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny," by Suze Orman (Random House, hardcover)
