More on books and politics

Posted by David Mehegan October 27, 2008 04:07 PM

We mentioned last week several publishers getting into the political/presidential fray. Today Shelf Awareness, the booksellers' news site, calls attention to a piece in the Milwaukee Journal about intensity arising in bookstores.

It has gotten so testy in Linda Burg's Little Read Bookstore in Wauwatosa, Wisc., that employees have been cautioned to avoid politics while speaking to customers.

Hang on, everyone; it will be over soon. A few weeks later, the campaign of 2012 can begin.
