Left standing in Coolidge Corner

It's not often that the chain bookstore shuts down and the independent shop remains but that's how it's gone in Coolidge Corner. Barnes & Noble closed its store on Harvard Street at the end of the year, leaving Brookline Booksmith, the independent bookstore that's been in business for 47 years.
