Here's an item, with link, provided by Globe colleague Dean Inouye that's great fun:

Everyone thinks they know the words to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game,'' but very few know all the words, or that it's supposed to be sung by a woman. In her book “Take Me Out to the Ball Game, The Story of the Sensational Baseball Song,” (University of Nebraska Press), Amy Whorf McGuiggan of Hingham provides the words and the history of this classic song. She spoke recently with The Globe.
