When most Americans think about organizations that represent the greatest threat to peace and security in the Middle East, the two groups that spring to mind are Al Qaeda and possibly Hamas. But journalist Thanassis Cambanis would argue that the breadth of influence of Hezbollah easily rivals that of the other two and perhaps surpasses them in some areas. In his new book "A Privilege to Die: Inside Hezbollah's Legions and Their Endless War Against Israel'' Cambanis presents an examination of the surprising cross section of people involved with the group and at its mission to eliminate Israel and recast the the region. Cambanis will discusses his book Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Boston Athenaeum. For reservations, call 617-720-7600.
