A January 2007 guerilla marketing stunt for the Adult Swim cartoon “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” sent the city of Boston into a frenzy when police mistook promotional devices for bombs. Turner, the network behind Adult Swim, apologized for the incident.
“We apologize to the city of Boston that part of the marketing campaign was mistaken for a public danger,’’ Phil Kent, Turner Broadcasting Co. chairman said in a statement.
