* Sandra Bullock and Robert Downey Jr. will receive this year's Hasty Pudding awards at Harvard. The awards, announced yesterday, are given to performers who have made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment" by Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the nation's oldest undergraduate drama troupe. Bullock will lead a parade through Harvard Square on Feb. 12 with Harvard students dressed in drag. Downey will appear Feb. 19 at the opening night of the Hasty Pudding production, "As the Word Turns."

* The television show "Extra" reported that R&B legend Patti LaBelle will replace Janet Jackson at this year's Grammy Awards. Jackson was originally slated to introduce an award for Luther Vandross, who experienced a near-fatal stroke in April. Jackson bowed out of her Grammy appearance late yesterday amid the controversy surrounding her Super Bowl show. Vandross is not expected at Sunday's ceremonies.

* Michael and Janet Jackson skipped the gala opening of their father's restaurant. But their brother, Jermaine, spoke about his sister's infamous Super Bowl halftime show at the Wednesday night opening of Katherine's, saying it looked like the clothing removal was an accident. Joseph Jackson's restaurant, named for the family matriarch, features Southern cooking such as collard greens and catfish. "I didn't understand what was going on until later," Jermaine Jackson said. "It wasn't done intentionally. It looked like an accident. I'm going to believe that." Joseph Jackson declined to talk about his daughter.

* Last night on "Entertainment Tonight" Britney Spears said she was serious when she married her hometown pal Jason Allen Alexander. "Honestly, I really wanted to see what it was like to be married. Maybe that sounds silly, but, in that moment, I was with a friend that I love dearly and I wanted to do something wild and crazy and I wanted to get married. So that's why I did it." Spears says she tries to ignore media reports about her personal life, but after the frenzy that her 55-hour marriage prompted, she says she may be more cautious in the future. "Since that happened, it's made me definitely want to think about what I do a little more because they blow it way out of proportion." Spears is scheduled to appear Wednesday on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" and will sing her song, "Toxic."

* Looks like J. Lo's film career might take a hit from all the bad press she's gotten lately. Lopez is starring opposite Robert Redford in "An Unfinished Life," which is being directed by "The Cider House Rules" director Lasse Hallstrom. But a source close to the production told MSNBC.com that filmmakers are looking for ways to "minimize" Lopez's role in the film. "It's a drama, and right now Jennifer Lopez is not seen as a serious, dramatic actress," the source says. "When it comes to marketing the movie, don't be surprised if Jennifer is not used as the major selling point."
