Glitter in more trouble
Former rock 'n' roller Gary Glitter paid $4,000 to the families of Vietnamese girls he's accused of sexually abusing, in exchange for their cooperation in his case, his lawyer said yesterday. Glitter, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, gave $2,000 each to the families of two girls, ages 11 and 12, after they agreed to write letters to the court in Hanoi, asking that the case be dropped, said lawyer Le Thanh Kinh. He's been in prison since Nov. 19 on suspicion of engaging in obscene acts with a child.

Sylvester Stallone can keep his magazine, Sly, on newsstands despite the complaints of an Internet magazine with the same name. Calling the other magazine more of a shoe ''fetish" publication, Judge Richard Casey ruled that the 59-year-old ''Rocky" actor can continue to publish his lifestyle and fitness mag for middle-age men.
