Don Cheadle is being eyed to star as jazz legend Miles Davis in a biographical film, members of Davis's family said after he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Davis's nephew, Vince Wilburn, said the family has also been in talks with director Antoine Fuqua (''Training Day") about helming the film. Davis, who would have turned 80 on May 26, will be celebrated this spring with as-yet-unannounced archival CD releases from Sony's Legacy imprint as well as several DVD projects, including highlights from his many performances at Switzerland's Montreux Jazz Festival.

Alicia Silverstone (left) will star as the lead in ABC's comedy pilot ''Pink Collar," while Alexondra Lee has landed the lead in another comedy pilot, NBC's ''Alpha Mom." ''Pink Collar" explores female relationships within the workplace. Silverstone, who was featured in the comedy ''Beauty Shop," recently wrapped a limited run of David Mamet's ''Boston Marriage" in Westwood, Calif. ''Alpha Mom" centers on a corporate mom (Lee) who tries to balance kids, a stay-at-home husband, and a job. Lee's series credits include UPN's ''Special Unit 2" and Fox's ''Party of Five."

Elizabeth McGovern has been tapped to star in ABC Family's upcoming drama series ''Three Moons Over Milford." ''Three Moons" is described as a quirky drama set in a small town where residents take their lives to the extreme -- quitting jobs, indulging vices, and living as if today were their last -- upon learning that a cosmic explosion is threatening Earth's existence. McGovern will play Janet Montgomery, whose husband has abandoned his family to climb the seven tallest peaks in the world, whose daughter has taken up witchcraft to help save Earth, and whose teenage son gets involved with the older next-door neighbor. ABC picked up ''Three Moons" in January with an eight-episode order. The series is set to begin production in the spring, with a possible premiere date in the summer.
