Severin rates well with listeners

Whatever you think of Jay Severin, the guy's a ratings winner. According to Arbitron, the libertarian loudmouth is drawing an impressive audience in his new 7-10 p.m. time slot on WTKK-FM (96.9). In fact, Severin's has become the highest rated show on the station, shellacking both morning man Don Imus and the guy who replaced Severin in drive time, Michael Graham. The folks at Greater Media -- the parent company of 'TKK -- must be very proud, right? Wrong. Still smarting over Severin's decision in December to sign a syndication deal with competitor CBS Radio, the station's spinning the latest ratings to make it look like Graham is the big winner. ''[He's] really beginning to catch on. . . . His natural talent, background and energy make him a great listen," Greater Media's Phil Redo gabbed in a statement. ''[Graham's] just warming up." What he didn't say is that it's rare for a night-time jock to drub the morning and drive-time guys.

Kennedy sells home for $5.75 million

Can we expect to see more of Caroline Kennedy now that the former first daughter and husband Ed Schlossberg have sold their Hamptons home? The New York Post reported yesterday that JFK's daughter has sold the two-story, shingle-style house in Sagaponack for $5.75 million. The couple bought the 3.2-acre property in 1994. But don't worry, Kennedy will not be without a house this summer. She still owns the 366-acre estate on Martha's Vineyard that she inherited from her mom, Jackie Onassis.

Judges included Oscar-nominated documentarian Ken Burns, producer Robert Drew, actress Whoopi Goldberg, producer-directors Oren Jacoby and Rory Kennedy, and director Marc Levin.

Local stars greet new NFL Titan

Sox pitchers Jonathan Papelbon and Josh Beckett, future Celtics star Gerald Green, and the Atlanta Hawks' Marvin Williams were at Reebok's Canton headquarters yesterday to welcome Vince Young, the first quarterback selected in the NFL draft. (Yes, Young will wear Reeboks next season for the Tennessee Titans.) The brawny bunch were greeted by Reebok president and CEO Paul Harrington. . . . President Larry Summers presented playwright Christopher Durang with the annual Harvard Arts Medal during the college's Arts First fest last weekend. On campus, Durang sat with Oscar-nominated actor and fellow Harvard alum John Lithgow to talk about his career and the creative process.

Brady glad-hands Colts' sack man

Pats QB Tom Brady kept his friends close and his enemies closer while partying at the Crown Royal Playboy Club at the Kentucky Derby. How else to explain that handshake with Indy's sack stud Dwight Freeney? Mitt Romney was also at the race -- though not at the Playboy Club -- and exchanged pleasantries with New York Governor George Pataki, a potential opponent in Romney's likely bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

Segway inventor Dean Kamen -- in town yesterday to help unveil the ''Modern Marvels Invent Now Challenge" exhibit at the Museum of Science -- will deliver the commencement address at Franklin Pierce College Saturday. Also advising graduates of the Rindge, N.H., school will be Myron Kandel, the retired financial editor of CNN Business News.
