Suicidal Clooney
(BANG) - George Clooney felt suicidal while filming 'Syriana'.
The 'Oceans Eleven' actor revealed that shooting the dark political drama was the "worst year of his life" after a string of personal tragedies made him severely depressed.
He is quoted in Britain's Daily Record newspaper as saying: "Last year was probably the worst year personally I've ever had.
"My brother-in law died of a heart attack aged 45, my grandmother fell, broke her hip and died this summer. And my dog got attacked by a rattlesnake and killed."
The 'Out of Sight' actor also admitted his depression was further fuelled by unwanted weight gain and an on-set injury.
He said: "I had to put on weight in about a month to do the movie. You should not put on 38lb when you are 44.
"Then there was this scene where I was taped to a chair and the chair was kicked over and I hit my head. I basically bruised my brain."
