Once 'Lost,' Silberhartz is now found

Throughout the summer, ABC and the folks who created ``Lost" feigned ignorance about the origins of ``The Lost Experience," a parallel story running on the Internet that kept the hot TV show fresh for fans . But like so much around ``Lost," it turns out the Internet character Rachel Blake and ``The Lost Experience" were crafted by Damon Lindelof and Harvard alum Carlton Cuse , the men who run the mega-show which has its season premiere on Wednesday. The actress who played Blake -- on the Net and in at least one real-life appearance -- was actually Emerson alum Jamie Silberhartz . In keeping with the intrigue that surrounds ``Lost," Silberhartz wasn't allowed to talk about appearing in the webcasts or who was behind them. With her commitment finished, the 2004 Emerson grad has begun to take on other work, including filming a ``Without a Trace" scene with Eric Close , but fans of her Blake character have continued to push the show's makers to include her in the TV version . ``Lost," its $65 million annual budget, and all its extra curricular activities were detailed in a piece in yesterday's New York Times that quotes Cuse as saying that whatever the hoopla, ``If the show is lame, none of these things are worth anything."

New marketing firm is in the game

The movie ``The Game Plan" was well represented at the monstrous launch party for Boston marketing firm Trinity One by co stars Brian White, Jamal Duff, and Hayes MacArthur, who mingled with Celtics' great M.L. Carr, Motley Crue's Vince Neil, and Celtics VP Shawn Sullivan in a private cabana provided by Kelly Downing, who , like all of former Patriots ' marketing guy Lou Imbriano's female employees, wore a white, floor-length gown. The Red Bull-fueled affair (it was the night's only mixer) managed to feature a tribe of go-go dancers, a live performance by Eddie Money, and a set of old school and Top 40 tunes spun by Adam ``DJ AM" Goldstein. Boston's pro sport teams were all represented, with Pats player Lonie Paxton; Sox third base stalwart Mike Lowell and pitcher Josh Beckett; former Celtic Walter McCarty and dapper Celtics operating officer Rich Gotham; Revs hunk Taylor Twellman and his wife, Lindsay; and ESPN reporter Wendi Nix, wife of Sox vice president Ben Cherington, who ruled the dance floor.

Gilson to be star of Cambridge’s Garden

Will Gilson was one of those late '90s foodie legends -- a self-taught 16-year-old chef who used his father's herb farm to create amazing food two nights a week at the Herb Lyceum in Groton. Now 23, he's getting his first headline billing in Cambridge when Garden opens in November above the Cellar bar on Massachusetts Avenue. The restaurant will feature herbs and vegetables from father David Gilson's herb farm and greenhouses . Until the restaurant opens, Gilson, who spent four years working at Oleana in Cambridge on his time off, is creating upscale bar food for the bar downstairs. And the Herb Lyceum is continuing its Friday and Saturday night prix fixe dinners with Guida Ponte as chef.
