So much for Christopher Lydon 's ballyhooed return to Boston radio. The Lowell Sun reported yesterday that the University of Massachusetts-Lowell has concluded it can't afford Lydon, and won't renew his contract when it expires in December. Interim Chancellor David MacKenzie told the paper the pointy-headed host of "Open Source" is too pricey, and the school has other priorities. But ... (Full article: 775 words)
