Smith autopsy report out today

The murky circumstances surrounding Anna Nicole Smith's death could become clearer today , when authorities are expected to release the results of the former pinup's autopsy. The anticipated disclosure of what killed Smith comes more than six weeks after she was found unresponsive at her hotel suite in Hollywood, Fla. The autopsy results had been expected weeks ago but have been repeatedly delayed, in part because the Broward County medical examiner, Dr. Joshua Perper, said he received additional evidence from the Seminole Police Department. The department is investigating the starlet's death because the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, where she was staying, is located on tribal land. Authorities would not disclose what the additional evidence was. Perper's initial autopsy report was released a day after Smith's death, but he said an extensive battery of tests was being performed to search for all manner of causes. Smith arrived at the Hard Rock on Feb. 5 and planned to leave four days later aboard a new yacht her companion Howard K. Stern was arranging to buy. She was said to be suffering from a stomach flu before she was found dead Feb. 8. Stern and two other men have claimed they are the father of her baby, Dannielynn. (AP)

Photographers sue Richards, Anderson
Two freelance photographers are suing Denise Richards (left) and Pamela Anderson (below), charging that Richards assaulted them when they tried to take her picture and that the women lied about the scuffle. According to the lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Richards and Anderson were at the River Rock Casino Resort in British Columbia on Nov. 9, 2006, to work on the upcoming film "Blonde and Blonder." When Richards saw Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck taking her picture, according to the lawsuit, she became enraged, called them "paparazzi scum" and other names, assaulted them, seized their laptop computers and threw the laptops over a hotel balcony. The confrontation, which lasted more than 20 minutes, was recorded by hotel security cameras, according to the photographers. (AP)

Visa trouble imperils Snoop Dogg shows
British authorities denied rapper Snoop Dogg a visa for a series of planned concerts, publicists for his tour said in a statement Saturday. Snoop Dogg, co-headlining a European tour with fellow star P Diddy, had been expected to play five dates in Britain. "Snoop and his team are mystified at the decision and are hoping that the British government will reconsider this decision," spokeswoman Celena Aponte said in a statement. A planned concert at London's Wembley Arena tomorrow will go ahead with P Diddy and the rest of the show, she said. A spokeswoman for the Home Office said she couldn't comment on an individual case, but did point out that foreign citizens could be barred from entering the country if there were concerns about their presence. 'TMNT' drops '300' from No. 1
After conquering the North American box office for the last two weekends, the ancient warriors of "300" lost the lead to historical figures from another distant era, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. "TMNT," a computer-animated comedy resurrecting the reptilian superstars of the 1980s, sold an estimated $25.4 million worth of tickets during its first three days, distributor Warner Bros. told Reuters yesterday. Slipping to No. 2 is "300," with a box office take of $20.5 million. The total for the blood-soaked Spartan saga rose to $162.4 million after three weeks. As for new releases, the thriller "Shooter" opened at No. 3 with a solid $14.5 million, followed by the children's mystery "The Last Mimzy" at No. 5 with $10.2 million, the horror sequel "The Hills Have Eyes 2" at No. 7 with $10 million, the Adam Sandler Sept. 11-related drama "Reign Over Me" at No. 8 with $8 million, and the Terrence Howard swimming drama "Pride" at No. 9 with $4 million.
