Veteran Dakota Fanning

(BANG) - Dakota Fanning has been named Hollywood's Hottest Coolest Young Veteran.

The 'Charlotte's Web' actress received the honour at Hollywood Life magazine's ninth annual Young Hollywood Awards on Sunday (22.04.07).

Dakota, 13, told the USA Today newspaper: "I get the 'young' part, but I don't feel like a veteran yet. I'm just excited to go to work tomorrow."

When asked about her choice of outfit, Dakota admitted: "I don't know who I'm wearing, but I love fashion."

This is Dakota's 12th award, making her one of the most prolific and successful child actresses of her generation.

Welsh heartthrob Ioan Gruffudd picked up the award for Hottest UK Import. The 33-year-old 'Fantastic Four' star joked that the accolade could have gone to Simon Cowell.

Singer-and-actor Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, 29, was delighted to win the Today's Superstar award, saying: "This feels great because the transition from music to the movies has been a progression."

'She's the Man' actress Amanda Bynes, who turned 21 earlier this month, used the ceremony to speak about the importance of staying grounded in Hollywood.

She said: "The red carpet isn't your life, and as soon as it is you're probably in trouble. I like to be with normal people and don't feel the need to have 45 birthday parties all over the world."
