Claudia Schiffer "is not ready" to write her autobiography.

The German supermodel has been approached on several occasions to put pen to paper and write her life story, but has never been tempted by the lucrative offers.

Claudia, 37, said: "I've had so many offers but I just don't feel ready yet. Everyone writes them when they are so young these days, and I don't think the time is right for me."

The blonde beauty is also apprehensive about sharing her most intimate moments with the public, because she is a very "private person".

She added to Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "The other thing is you have to write about all these incredibly personal things. I've always been a very private person. But who knows? Maybe one day I'll feel ready."

Claudia has two children, four-year-old son Caspar and three-year-old daughter Clementine, with her 'Stardust' director husband Matthew Vaughn.

As well as avoiding writing, Claudia has no plans to turn her back on modelling for acting.

The model - who has appeared in a number of films, including 1994's 'Richie Rich' and 2001's 'In Pursuit' - recently said: "I don't want to work as an actress - my job is in fashion."
