Patrick Swayze is "doing well" following a third round of chemotherapy.

The 'Ghost' actor - who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January - is undergoing the gruelling medical process, which kills cancer cells, but is not yet suffering any of the side effects which come from the process, including hair loss.

Patrick's representative Annett Wolf said: "Patrick is currently undergoing chemotherapy - not radiation - and he has not lost his hair. We are doing everything we can, and Patrick is doing well under the circumstances."

Patrick is recovering from his latest chemotherapy session at his New Mexico ranch with his wife of 33 years, Lisa Niemi.

Meanwhile, Patrick's former co-stars and close friends have rallied round with messages of support for the 55-year-old actor.

Jennifer Grey, who starred alongside Patrick in the hit 1987 film 'Dirty Dancing', said: "It is so sad. If I saw him on the streets today, I'd throw my arms around him and love him up."

British actress Claire Sweeney - who appeared with Patrick in the London stage show 'Guys and Dolls' in 2006 - added: "Patrick is a very close friend, a kind and generous man and a true professional.

"I feel privileged to have worked with him and honoured to have him and his wife Lisa in my life as friends. My thoughts are with them both at this difficult time and I hope with all my heart that he makes a full recovery."
