Ashley Olsen has blasted the paparazzi - labelling them "weird and scary".

Ashley, whose twin sister is Mary-Kate Olsen, has been famous since she was six-years-old but admits she still finds it difficult to deal with photographers following her.

She said: "Photographers started following us, all over Los Angeles. First it was weird and then it got scary. I'm only 5ft 1in. I'm tiny. And when you have this 6ft 5in dude coming after you, yelling inappropriate things, your instinct as a woman comes out. You feel like you're being attacked."

Mary-Kate, 21, agrees with her sibling, and admits she feels much safer when she is in New York as opposed to Los Angeles.

She said: "I have much more freedom in New York and I just feel safer. I don't live with the same anxiety that I do in Los Angeles."
