Probation for Hilton

Barron Hilton, brother of Paris, pleaded no contest yesterday to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a Feb. 12 bust in Malibu, Calif. Attorney Richard Hutton entered the absent 18-year-old's plea to driving under the influence and unlawful possession of a false license. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner H. Jay Ford sentenced Hilton to three years' probation, fined him $2,000, suspended his license for one year, and ordered him to log time at the LA County morgue. (E! Online)

Lowes sue former help
Actor Rob Lowe and his wife have sued two former nannies and an ex-chef, claiming they violated confidentiality agreements and in one case lied about having sex with the star of TV show "Brothers and Sisters." The lawsuits were filed on Monday, the same day Lowe said on the Huffington Post website that one of his ex-nannies was demanding $1.5 million or she would "accuse us of a vicious laundry list of false terribles." Ex-bodyguard: Lohan owes me
A former bodyguard for Lindsay Lohan has sued the actress, saying she owes him more than $55,000 in pay and expenses for protecting her from fans and paparazzi. In a lawsuit filed in LA Superior Court, David Kim said he worked for the "Freaky Friday" star from October 2006 to March 2007. (Reuters)

Teen sues 50 Cent
Hip hop mogul 50 Cent, Universal Music Group, and several of its record labels were sued on Wednesday for promoting a "gangsta lifestyle" by a 14-year-old boy, who says friends of the rapper assaulted him. The lawsuit filed by James Rosemond and his mother, Cynthia Reed, says Universal Music Group and its labels Interscope Records, G-Unit Records, and Shady Records, bear responsibility for the assault because they encourage artists to pursue violent, criminal lifestyles. Plea deal for former Miss Nevada
A dethroned Miss Nevada USA has accepted a plea deal in which she agrees to pay fines for five misdemeanor traffic violations. Katherine N. "Katie" Rees is avoiding trial by pleading no contest to speeding, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, and driving with an expired registration, a suspended license, and suspended registration. The 23-year-old former beauty queen also agreed to pay up to $1,312 in fines. Rees was stripped of her title after racy photos of her reached the Internet. (AP)
