Nicole Richie has reportedly spent over £9,000 on her designer handbag addiction.

The 26-year-old star - who recently gave birth to daughter Harlow, her first child with fiance Joel Madden - is so obsessed with Balenciaga's handbag range she has one in every colour.

A source close to Nicole said: "She just feels like they go with every outfit she wears - whether it be in the day or at night. She likes the Part Timer bags, which cost £765 each, the Weekender ones which cost £915 and the City bags costing £735 each.

"In total she has 12 Balenciaga bags, and has spent £9,240."

Nicole isn't the only celebrity to have an obsession with expensive bags.

Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham loves Hermes' Birkin bag so much she has reportedly spent £56,000 on the accessory. The bags, which come in a variety of colours and sizes, are so popular they have a long waiting list for customers wanting to purchase them.
