Two weeks after actress Angelina Jolie (right) publicly acknowledged she was expecting twins with actor Brad Pitt, conflicting reports circulated yesterday about whether she had given birth to the couple's fifth and sixth children. "Entertainment Tonight" said the Oscar-winning actress had given birth in France, but a short time later People magazine disputed the story, quoting an unnamed representative for Jolie on its website as saying: "Angelina has not given birth." Britain's NOW magazine then reported that the children have been named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane. (Reuters)
Winehouse joins Mandela fete
Amy Winehouse says she will perform next month at a concert honoring Nelson Mandela. The concert will be held June 27 in London's Hyde Park to celebrate the former South African president's birthday. John Ira Shepherd Hanson was born Tuesday to Zac Hanson and his wife, Kate, at an undisclosed hospital in Hanson's hometown of Tulsa, Okla. A multimillion-dollar home at the center of a bitter dispute between 50 Cent and the mother of his son was destroyed by a suspicious fire yesterday. Six people, including the rapper's ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, Marquis, were taken to a hospital after suffering smoke inhalation and later released. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, doesn't live in the home in Dix Hills, N.Y., and wasn't there at the time. Arson investigators were called to the scene after Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Feld deemed the blaze suspicious. (AP)Farina won't face gun charges
Los Angeles County prosecutors won't file felony charges against actor Dennis Farina for having a gun in his luggage at an airport this month. Farina was arrested for investigation of carrying a concealed weapon.
