Applegate grieves

Actress Christina Applegate is said to be distraught after her ex-boyfriend, fisherman Lee Grivas, was found dead, the victim of an apparent drug overdose. Grivas, 26, was found in his Hollywood apartment, according to the Los Angeles coroner's office. Grivas and Applegate, 36, met while the "Married With Children" star was appearing in the Broadway musical "Sweet Charity." "Grivas did have a history of drug abuse, and our investigator found a syringe at the scene," said Lieutenant Fred Corral of the coroner's office. (AP)

It's not a surprise that a provocative photo of a supermodel would fetch big money at auction, but a lock of hair? A blond hair extension that British supermodel Kate Moss lost in Berlin has been auctioned on eBay for 805 euros (about $1,264), Bild newspaper reported yesterday. Moss, 34, shed the hairpiece while trying to duck paparazzi after a night out in the German capital last month, according to press reports. The photographer who posted it on eBay plans to donate the proceeds to a charity, the newspaper said.

One of Rachael Ray's former employees has filed a $1 million lawsuit saying he was forced out of his job because he has an eating disorder. Aaron Ferguson, who worked on the domestic diva's TV cooking show, claims he's suffered from anorexia for about six years. He says his supervisor repeatedly made "vile," discriminatory, and hurtful comments. Ferguson says he repeatedly complained about his supervisor's discriminatory language but management did nothing that improved his situation. His lawyer says the firing was retaliation. The lawsuit names CBS Corp., CBSTD Inc., and three employees of the "Rachael Ray" show as defendants. Ray is not named as a defendant. Show spokeswoman Lauren Nowell said she could not comment on pending litigation. (AP)

You can take the kid out of "8 Mile," but you can't, well, you know. Eminem is being sued by a man who claims the rapper punched him in a Detroit strip club two years ago. The Detroit News reports Miad Jarbou of Royal Oak filed the lawsuit Thursday; he's seeking more than $25,000 in damages. The suit claims Eminem punched Jarbou at Cheetah's On the Strip Gentlemen's Club on Eight Mile Road, the neighborhood made famous by Eminem's hit 2002 film "8 Mile." (AP)
