Brinkley trial paused

Christie Brinkley's Long Island divorce trial has been halted for a second time - and the model says she's praying for a settlement. The trial was put on hold for several hours yesterday. Testimony had resumed when the opposing lawyers passed a note, whispered, and went into the judge's chambers. The case was adjourned until today. The model was married to architect Peter Cook for a decade before his affair with a teenager in 2006. (AP)

Madonna's true love
A memoir by Madonna's brother says the singer really does love her husband, director Guy Ritchie, but, apparently, not as much as she loves her career and herself. Christopher Ciccone's "Life With My Sister Madonna," scheduled to come out Tuesday, arrives at a time when Madonna has been linked to the breakup of the marriage between New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, who filed for divorce Monday. Hospital: Photos fake
The French hospital where Angelina Jolie will give birth says it has covered the windows of her room with a special material to keep paparazzi from taking pictures of her and her partner, Brad Pitt. The Lenval Hospital in Nice said yesterday that photos that claim to show Jolie and Pitt in her room are fakes that have been manipulated or show other patients, and it is "totally impossible" to see inside the room from the outside.
