Media By Numbers says the new Batman movie starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger brought in $18.5 million yesterday from its midnight screening in 3,040 theaters. Spears settles custody
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have reached an agreement that grants the pop singer more overnight visits with her children and averts a custody trial that was scheduled for next month, attorneys said yesterday. The agreement was announced following a closed-door session between lawyers for both sides and a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner. Neither Spears nor Federline appeared, but the settlement resolves several lingering financial and visitation issues, attorneys said. Spears will now have three visits a week from Sean Preston and Jayden James, with at least two overnight visits, her attorney said. Spears was granted one overnight visitation per week in late June. Vacation for 50 Cent
Rapper 50 Cent is free to take a vacation with his son after passing a court-ordered drug test. Marquise lives with his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins. She is 50 Cent's ex-girlfriend and blames 50 Cent for a fire that destroyed the Long Island mansion where she and the boy were living. He has denied the accusation. (AP)
